2017 WEST COAST SHOWCASE

The 11th Annual Boys West Coast Showcase returns to Morgan Hill Outdoor Sports Complex - The #1 venue on the west coast to compete at a lax tourney.

TOURNAMENT HIGHLIGHTS

• 80 + teams competed in the WCS last year- areas that were represented: Washington, Oregon, Orange County, Los Angeles, San Diego, Sacramento, Santa Barbara, Reno, Chico, Lake Tahoe & all over the Bay Area

AGE/GRADE ELIGIBILITY

• Boys U10 (or 3th & 4th Grade)
• Boys U12 (or 5th & 6th Grade)
• Boys U14 (or 7th & 8th Grade)
• Boys U16 (or 9th & 10th Grade)
• Boys U18 (or 11th & 12th Grade)
• AGE Eligibility- We follow the NCJLA/US Lacrosse regulations for birthdate cutoffs. Whatever age the player was on August 31st 2016, will be the division the player plays in for the rest of the year i.e. if the player is 16 years old on Aug 31st, 2016, then the player would play for the U16 division for the 2016/2017 year. This rule is applicable in all divisions
• Grade Eligibility- is determined by the player's grade of the current (2017/2018) school year
• Players are permitted to play UP one age division. Players are NOT permitted to play down an age division for any reason
• 2017 High School graduates are eligible to play in the U18 Division only. Players who have played in college during the 2017 season are ineligible
• ** Violating eligibility rules is subject to disciplinary action. See rules for details.

SKILL LEVEL GUIDE FOR TEAMS

• U8, U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18 Silver: Teams consisting of intermediate players
• U8, U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18 Gold: Teams consisting of advanced players
• We will offer Gold & Silver brackets within Junior age divisions if we field enough teams in those divisions
• HS Divisions:
  • High School Rising Stars (JV division – No HS graduating Seniors permitted)
  • High School Open (Varsity – all HS grades permitted)
  • High School Elite (Very competitive HS teams – all HS grades permitted)

OVERVIEW

• U10, U12, U14, U16 & U18 Teams will have 5 scheduled games spread over the weekend
• Minimum 16 players per Team (18-20 recommended)
• Certified athletic training staff on site for all games
• There are NO refunds or credits for this program including injury/illness after the Team Registration deadline
